A high level Congress policy and Planning group of J&K affairs headed by Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is arriving here tomorrow, to meet different sections of society during two days tour.
The group comprises of senior Congress leader, Dr. Karan Singh, Former Home Minister P. Chidambaram, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, AICC General Secretary Ambika Soni besides representatives of party from Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh in the group.
The group would straightway go to Govt. Guest House Canal Road and shall interact with the senior party leaders in the executive meeting at 12 Noon onwards.
In the post Lunch, the group shall meet different delegation of the Civil society from different sections and walks of life. Other than the party executive, the group has meeting with civil society and main stream opposition parties.
They include Delegation of Bar Association, Delegation of Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Delegation of Pahari, Delegation of Dogri Sanstha, Delegation of Ex-Servicemen, Delegation of SCs, STs & OBCs, Delegation of Minority, Delegation of Women, Delegation of Mainstream Opposition Parties, Delegation of Displaced Persons of 1947,65 & 71, Delegation of Kashmiri Migrants, Delegation of Kisan & Border Resident’s, Delegation of Erstwhile Doda District, Delegation of Intellectuals Group.
The delegation shall stay at the guest house and next day morning fly back to Delhi. Next week the same group shall visit Kashmir to have similar exercise of interaction. (KNS)
